Sometimes a horse that is already designed and registered needs some updates, or needs brought to the new system -- here's how you would go about that!

Redesigns

​When an uploaded or registered horse's design needs to be completely changed. 

This can be for several reasons:
  • A redesign token has been used by the owner as they would like something different.
  • The horse was sold with a redesign as a clause of the sale. 
  • The horse is being brought back to Nordanner from another breed, and the current owner does not have rights to both the ID number AND the horse's original design. 
  • A redesign has been forced as the horse was reclaimed from another member by the group.​
    • The last set of group reclaims was in 2020, and horses that were a part of that process should be listed as 2020 reclaim.
The design should be done in the same way that you would with a brand new design, but be sure to link a redesign token. (Or if applicable, state that the horse was a group reclaim).

Please Note:
If a horse is being redesigned you must use the same genotype and phenotype that was originally selected, you cannot now change the genotype!

Recreation and Design Transfers

If a registered horse has had its foal design deleted, if the design is on an older version of the foal lines and you need to move it to Storkdanner for kaaring, or if you just want to move an older horse to the new system, you will need to follow these steps.

Step 1: The Design

Using the old design, or any old art of the horse in the case of a recreation, you will need to transfer the old design onto the new lines. The key is to get as close to the original design as possible. 
  • Please Note:  The design may NOT be changed, so any faults and mistakes in the original design must stay in place.

Step 2: Getting Ready for Submission 

Like with any time you Design Your Horse, the design should be submitted to stash. However, the form needed is slightly different! You will need to include the recreations disclaimer, and link us some old art and / or the previous design. Please do not edit the disclaimer text in any way.

Step 3: Submitting for Approval 
Once your stash file is ready, please submit them to the Redesigns & Recreations section of the current month's design approval journal! You'll need to go to Storkdanner for foals, and NordannerDesign for imports. 
Congrats! Welcome to the wide world of Nordanner.
Once your design is accepted and uploaded, you are ready to move on to Registration.
