Hello Nordlings!

As you may know from our 2024 General Survey, we proposed some Mutation Import Sale changes. With the July Sale galloping our way, you may be wondering what changes made it through? Well, that's what this post is all about!

Let's lead with everyone's biggest question: Will pricing be affected?
Unfortunately no. Prices will remain the same as in 2024. Here's a short list of pricing for your convenience:
Anomalies, Attachment Stone, Radioactive Stone - $100
Natural Custom - $50
RECESSIVE Mutation Custom - $200
DOMINANT Mutation Custom - $400
Anomaly and BP Pre-Designed Auctions - $125 SB
Pre-Designed Mutation Import Auction - $150 SB
T1 General Slot Auction - $10 SB
T2 General Slot Auction - $25 SB
T3 General Slot Auction - $60 SB
T4 General Slot Auction - $90 SB
Peafowl Mutation Custom Auction - $400 SB

However, how you can pay for your imports is what's changing this year. Due to popular demand, we are completely doing away with the sale rotation. This means that there will no longer be designated GC/In-game currency and USD only sales. Instead, we are replacing this system with a limited number of imports and items that can be purchased with in-game currency per year, per user. This was a wildly popular change that you wanted to see, with 88% of you who answered our survey clicking yes!
For 2025, we are going to feel out how this affects overall game economy and accessibility of imports. So we are going to err on the side of caution and only allow one mutation import per year (or a joker, riddler, or quinn instead) to be bought fully with in-game currency (Either GC, Admin Gems, or a combination of the two). For the items such as Anomalies, Attachment Stones, and Radioactive Stones you are limited to one per sale with in-game currency. However, if you would like to support the breed and pay with USD, you may purchase as many imports as you like at one import per every 24 hours during the course of the sale. Of course, Admin Gem discounts will still stay the same as they've always been, don't worry! <3
On the survey, there was a bit of a mix of opinion when it came to whether to allow one import per year, or one import per sale. The chief concern was of course making sure that the group was still able to run and bring you new features -- and we agree, which is why we've decided to take a more cautious approach and stick with one import per year with in-game currency for now. 

Wow! What a journey it has been to get here, first of all. 
Second, I am so very happy to finally be able to bring the community one of the major projects I promised that I would complete when I took up the mantle as founder of the breed. I know that a Nordanner website has been promised for many years, and holy heck was it both difficult because of the sheer amount of information to bring over, but also very rewarding to see everything come together!
Most of all, I am relieved that this project has finally reached completion, so that I can bring all of you my vision for the breed going forward. So that we can boldly step into the future as a community and continue to grow. 

Lastly, I couldn't have done this project without every single one of you.

It was you who kept me motivated to keep chugging along. It was you who gave me the support I needed to see this through to the end. It was seeing all of you as excited for this as I was that honestly helped keep me on-track, even when I'd get so frustrated that I wanted to scrap it all and give up! 
Of course, I also need to give special thanks to Crows-CrandySkulls -- without your help, this website would not be as gorgeous as it is. Your creative vision helped so much in this process! I had zero idea how any of this worked, or how to make it look good, and you came in like a rockstar and totally fixed it!
Additional thanks and hugs goes out to Belreynard and TealMagpie. All of your input on wording, changes to the breed (and breed information), and overall listening to me complain when I wanted to scrap this project didn't go unnoticed! I seriously couldn't have gotten through this without you!

Breed Information and Getting Started for Beginners

• Under the Getting Started tab, we have a ton of new resources for you! This includes not only an updated Newbie Guide, but also new in-depth breed information. Much of the breed information is still the same, though! We have just expanded it and given more detail -- such as an explanation on the breed's origins, a timeline for the lore, new information on Generals, and so much more. You will have to go check the pages out to get the full scope, as we've done so much work here!

Updated How-To, and Journals

• ALL of our journals linked on the front page of the group have been transferred over to the website and given a huge facelift, along with some updates! This sadly means that the old journals will be leaving us, but that also means that it will be much easier to find things as it will all be in one place. There is also a plethora of new information that you have been asking for, such as information on imports, reviving a Nordanner, and so much more. 

Activities Overview

• We have an overview of all activities that you can participate in. This includes not only Arena, Cartography, and the RNG Mini...it also includes our discord minigames!

Detailed FAQ

• This was another thing that it feels like I've been promising the community for ages. A full FAQ, all in one place, with questions that are actually frequently asked. Originally, this was planned to be a journal, then a Google Doc, but I settled on adding it to the website for convenience for both me and you!

...And More Goodies!​

We've implemented a lot of changes with the release of this website. But don't fear! I have a full list of changes for you here so you don't get lost!

• How you submit imports has changed. You will now be able to design your imports directly on the import lines, and submit them in a reviews process similar to foals. Read all about it on the Imports page. 
• Our Group Rules have had an update. Wording has been clarified, and some of the rules have changed to make user experience better. 
• All of our hefty group journals have been broken down into their new webpages and clarified so that they are more to-the-point. 
• Clarifications on Reclaims, and the instances in which the group will issue reclaims. 
• As mentioned above, we now have an FAQ all in one place!
• Links to all of the official Nordanner sheets and resources and how to use them, banned members, our policy on banned members, and what to do when you leave the breed all on the FAQ page.
• Our Breed Information has had a MAJOR facelift. What once was scattered information on very old pages now has full explanations and is cohesive, along with other lore crumbs sprinkled in! There are quite a few pages under this section, so you'll have to go check them out yourself!
• Speaking of lore, it has all been moved to its own page on the website. Plus, the Nordanner Gods have been given a bit better of a backstory. If you've been following along with the breed news, you also know that Vramien has finally received official art as well. With the website, he's also been given his backstory!
• Where you go for help has been updated with a guide, and we've included a contact form that goes directly to a Nordanner-owned email. Check it out on the Reporting Issues page. 
• We've added more detail to the newbie pages under the Getting Started tab to help getting started in the breed a little easier. 
• New clarifications on how breeding slot transfers work, and changing the names on breeding slots. This also includes our current policy on removing slots. 
• Updated submissions and a new form for foals!
• Kaaring values shortlist, rather than needing to scroll through the longer explanations to find what you need. 
• Better explanations and examples for what different kaaring values look like.
• This news blog page! It will allow us to give you more detailed news updates and other fun extras. However, this will not be replacing the news channels in the discord. It is a supplement to that system. 

All of that above is A LOT of information to take in. So I will leave you with a final little fun tidbit for you to know~
This website is not completely in its final form as of now -- we have more things coming your way in 2025 that will be added!

• Design Guides moved to their own webpages. 
• The Bestiary will be moved here and given a facelift!
• And other fun surprises in the works!

And overall, everything in the group will continue to be updated just as I have promised.
