So you've obtained an import in your Royal Bank, and you aren't sure what to do now?
Then you've come to the right place!

Imports 101

Imports are starter Nordanners. These have no known lineage, as they are descended from the wild stock roaming Kisarana. There are only a few ways to get an import, and they have varying degrees of customizability.
Different types of imports:
  • Custom
    • This is a completely customizable import. You can choose the genotype and design it yourself!
    • "Custom" is used as a blanket term; This includes both natural and mutation imports, along with imports where you have used an attachment stone to create a BP or Anomaly import. 
    • For this type of import, you get to pick what genes you'd like and design it yourself--within the limits for the type of custom import you have of course. See "Import Genes, Attachment Stones, RNG Traits" section further down the page for more information!
  • Grab-Bag Semi-Custom 
    • Natural Import. No Mutation, Anomaly, or Breedable Potion Genes. 
    • Fill out the form on the current month's journal on NordannerDesign to get two randomly rolled genotypes and an assigned ID number. You will then pick between the given genotypes and design your horse on the import lines.
    • You cannot choose what you receive with this type of import. It is totally randomized!
  • Semi-Custom
    • Natural Import. No Mutation, Anomaly, or Breedable Potion Genes. 
      • You may however combine this with a mutation import, or attach mutation genes, BPs, or anomalies with an attachment stone if you'd like!
    • Fill out the form on the current month's journal on NordannerDesign.  Please note: You cannot pick the genotype and it will be designed by a member of the Nordanner Design team.​
How to submit Imports for reviews:
  1. Download the import lines above.
  2. Design your horse.
  3. Upload your import to stash,  do not upload to your personal account. Make sure to fill out the proper form from the Design Your Horse page in the description.
  4. Submit your import on the current month's journal on NordannerDesign (you can find the current journal under Posts!).
  5. It will be reviewed using the Design Guides - if edits are needed they will be commented on the stash file, and you will received a reply that edits are needed. If no edits are needed, you will receive a message letting you know your imports is all approved and it will be added to the uploads list!

Please note: If you include a desired genotype, it may need to also be edited in order to stay within gene limits. This will be one of the edits we will let you know about! If your horse is a Grab-Bag, you must​ pick one of the selected genotypes, and can not edit it. 
Where can I get an Import?
  • Grab-Bags, Semi-Customs, and pre-designed imports are all sold at monthly sales, which take place on Discord in the Monthly Sales channel.
  • Natural and Mutation Customs are sold during the Winter and Summer sales.
  • Additional genes can be added to an import for $5 per gene, which can be paid in GC, Gems, or USD. Purchase should be submitted with the import. 

Import Genes, Attachment Stones, RNG Traits:

  • Most imports are restricted by number of genes, and unless stated otherwise in the bank for your import you have 6 genes to work with.
    • We only count after e and a. You get extension and agouti for free! 
    • Genes such as flaxen, pearl, cream, lilac, and mushroom still count as one whether they are in heterozygous or homozygous form. 
    • If you combine two imports (Ex. two mutation imports for a double mutation), you can get up to 12 genes to work with. 
  • If you want to add an RNG trait to an import, you must use the item. You cannot just request it.
    • Luck potions cannot be used on an import as they are a breeding item designed to randomize an RNG trait on the resulting foal. 
  • Attachment stones are needed if you are adding a:
    • Anomaly
    • Breedable Potion
    • Touch of Glimmer
    • Radioactive Stone
    • Mutation Genes (unless you have been sold or won a Mutation import instead of just the genes)

Special Imports

Nordanner has three types of special import: Jokers, Quinns, and Riddlers. 
About:
  • These horses are sterile, but have almost no design limitations. (see right) 
  • Offer great prizes when ranked up through the Queens Reputation system, including imports, rare items, and other exclusive goodies!
  • When redesigned, these horses can completely start over on the kaaring ladder and re-earn prizes, regardless of if they are transferred to another user or not. 
  • Purchase of these imports are only available twice a year during sales. Only one of each is sold per sale. 
  • These imports are also offered as prizes in the Dragon Hunt each year for 1st-3rd places.

Rules:
  • Designs cannot have text or copyrighted materials.
  • Cannot be bred. 
  • When renaming, they do not need a renaming token. 
  • You will need a redesign token if you wish to redesign the horse.
