Nordanner is a long-standing and well known closed ARPG species. They are not free to create, but there are several options for obtaining one, which you can find information for on our Getting Your First Nord page. 

If you choose to participate in the Nordanner breed you are acknowledging and accepting these Group Rules.
 We want to promote a happy and safe place for our members and hope having a clear list of rules will help to achieve this!
Nordanner as an online community reserves the right to alter these Group Rules and other group processes as needed to reflect group incidents and needs. 
Please note:

     The wording on these rules has been simplified in order to keep this page short and easily readable. As such, they may not cover all cases which break our rules.
     Breaking of the rules below is handled on a case-by-case basis, and depends on severity based on proof brought forward. Consequences can range from a simple verbal warning, to temporary bans in some or all areas of the group, or even permanent bans from all group activities and the group itself.
     Admin may give verbal reminders to help guide Nordanner members through certain processes of the group. Please note that these verbal reminders do not count as warnings. In the event of a true verbal warning, the admin giving the warning will inform you that it is an official group warning, and that it will be recorded for group records.

General Rules


Rule 1:
Harassment, racism, hate speech and general bullying won't be tolerated. Please be kind and courteous to your fellow members and admins. Nobody has to get along with every single person they meet but please keep anything potentially hurtful or triggering private.
​On this note, we generally don’t moderate swearing, and for adult themes we follow the same rules in the group as we do the discord.
For harassment, it should also be noted that we forbid the use of the ID lists or any other Nordanner toolset in order to bug players who have left the breed about selling their horses (you may contact them if they are actively selling, but please do not use the toolsets to "cold call" ex-members of the breed).

Rule 2:
You cannot sell or give away breeding slots to unregistered horses. Before it is registered the horse is in limbo, and is not officially registered under your username. The only exception to this rule is if you have been asked to provide a slot as part of a breeding or sale agreement. As part of this rule, you can also only sell or give away slots that your horse has currently unlocked.

Rule 3:
Design theft, or any other kind of art theft is not allowed. This includes directly copying another design inside or outside of the breed, uploading commissioned artwork without permission from the artist, and directly tracing another person’s artwork inside or outside of the group.
Tracing stock photos is allowed as long as credit is given, and it is allowed by the stock provider.
In addition, we do not allow AI assets or re-used elements via stamps to be claimed for kaaring, or for rewards from group activities and events. This includes not only backgrounds, but also tack, elements of an image (i.e. a stamp used for a dragon on an arena image), and stories / literature. If you use AI to create an image that you then use as a reference to hand-draw your image, this is totally acceptable.

Rule 4:
Scams of any kind are not tolerated by the group, and will lead to immediate group action.
Scams can include, but are not limited to the following: payment chargebacks (of any amount of USD), deletion of art that was drawn as payment without notifying the recipient, using breeding slots prior to payment being completed, coercing a member to sell you horses or slots, “double selling” or selling horses more than once, not allowing a member to use a slot they paid for (example: A member pays to breed a dominant horse, but the owner will only let them breed a recessive, the member pays for a slot but it is not marked or not marked useable, etc), purchasing a foal, import, or other items intending to give them to a permanently banned member, selling slots or horses for USD but not marking the slots or sending the OT, etc.
For slots and sold horses, the group will take action if more than 30 days has elapsed since purchase, and the affected member has sent a note to the group or reached out via other means with the following:
1. Agreement of Sale between both parties.
2. Proof of payment being completed.

Rule 5:
Do not block admin accounts. By this we mean the Founder, Moosiferr, and main hub accounts Nordministrator , NordannerEvents , NordannerDesign and Storkdanner. If you have any one of those accounts blocked, we will be unable to process your activity within the group correctly. If you have issues with any other individual admins, what you choose to do regarding their personal accounts is your own business, and it is not group-moderated.

Rule 6:
While Discord is not required to participate in the group in general, it may be required for some areas of the group. The bulk of our community, group news, and more is hosted through the discord, so we heavily recommend joining.

Rule 7:
Please use the proper channels, threads, and journals for group-related questions and concerns.
If you have a concern and are unsure of where to send it, please check out our Reporting Issues page! We ask that you do not note or DM admin privately to ask questions. We have provided multiple public and private places to ask these sorts of questions, rather than having to DM admins.

Rule 8:
We reserve the right to remove problematic users from our community, and as such, all staff decisions are final. While staff are working to resolve an issue, it is of course open for discussion and feedback – however, once a final decision has been made, it is final. Decisions are always decided by more than one admin or voted on by the entire admin team, depending on severity and circumstance related to that particular decision.

Rule 9:
Nordanners may not lead double lives. If your horse and its design is a Nordanner, it may not also be used as a character in another breed and gain rewards for being in two breeds at once. In addition, if your horse’s design was brought to Nordanner from another breed, all art of that horse when it was not a Nordanner does not count toward kaaring. 

Rule 10:
The group does not enforce personal breeding or personal terms of sale rules, and will not refund USD that has been lost in private sales between members. In general, the group does not step in when it comes to private sales with a few exceptions for scam-behavior, as listed above in Rule 4. The group will not step in if private terms of sale have been breached, as this is a private issue between members.
Furthermore, do not use any group resources (ID List, posted imports and foals, The Royal Bank, etc) to to ask to buy horses or slots from a user, UNLESS they have a sale posted on their page, in the discord, or advertised in the advertisements folder in the group! This falls under harassment, as stated in Group Rule 1.

Rule 11:
Refunds on Group Sales will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
​All refunds relating to Group Sales must be noted to @Moosiferr within 7 days of the date of sale. If a refund is issued, all purchased in-game goods, items, and imports will cease to exist within the group. Posted import IDs will be recycled, unless said import has existing foals (which includes sold slots) – in which case it will be reclaimed by the group.
Payment plans, or paying in installments are no longer accepted by the group, and all purchases during Group Sales must be purchased all at once, in full.
​“Group Sales” in this rule is referring to sales hosted by the group and purchase of items which are USD-based, and does not include private sales by members.

Rule 12:
While multiple accounts and co-owned accounts are allowed, we have decided to cap the number of accounts per person associated with Nordanner to 3 active accounts. Both co-owned and personal accounts count toward this number – so for example, a person may have two personal accounts and one co-owned account, or one personal account and two co-owned accounts, or three personal accounts, etc so long as one person is not associated with more than three accounts that have had activity in at least one calendar year.
– Additionally, as of June 22, 2023 all members who are associated with more than one account must send a note to the group listing the accounts that are associated with Nordanner.
– All Nordanner items and currency in the Royal Bank and Cartography Bank for multiple personal accounts will need to be combined, so please tell us which name to put it under when you send the note! Currency on co-owned accounts will remain under the name of the co-owned account, and does not have to be combined.
– Please note: On co-owned accounts, should one member of the account break any of our group rules, the consequences will be applied to all members of the co-owned account and their personal accounts, so be careful and responsible with co-owned accounts and shared stables!

Summary

Admins will be keeping a general eye, but please don't feel scared to speak up if you witness something that breaks our rules. We hope that you never encounter anything that makes you feel that this is necessary, but if you do, please note the group or reach out to us in another way as listed on our Reporting Issues page. In your note or DM please include as much information as possible, if you have any screen shots or other proof please include this as well.
​Other than breaking group rules, things like harassment, bullying, inappropriate conduct in the discord, etc are all valid grounds for complaints. Complaints will not necessarily lead to immediate consequences unless that person is a repeat offender or, as stated above, breaks group rules -- but the complaint will be logged and tracked by the admin team.
Please remember not everyone speaks English as their first language. Sometimes people come across as mean online but they are simply misunderstood. Please be understanding if a member seems a little short with you - and remember that complaints should be reserved for legitimate group concerns and issues, the group generally won’t step in unless the rules above are broken, but all complaints are handled on a case by case basis.
