How to Count Kaaring Points
Alright….you’ve made it through all of our kaaring pages and have an idea of how it works, but now how do you actually count the kaaring values? This page will cover how to count them!
- PLEASE NOTE: ALL Kaaring points in submissions should be submitted in a vertical list format, rather than typing out your breakdowns in one line – this makes it faster and easier for kaaring admin to review your submissions accurately! (If you aren’t sure what this means, look at the examples below – they have their breakdowns listed properly!)
- For lineage points – please also list lineage points which you are claiming in a vertical list, and include the ancestor or descendant’s ID, Name, and level in your submission. It should look like the following:
To count kaaring, You will start with your “base value” (aka the top of the Kaaring Values list) and work your way down, adding points or “stacking” from different sections as they apply to your image. Let’s look at a few examples we can work through together!
Alright! Let’s start at the top of the list and work down! Here are the points that apply to this image:
Base Value
But wait! If we read the image description and comments – it looks like the owner also entered this into an RNG show! |
So we also have to add the following:
So the image total will be calculated with all of the totals like so:
Total: 7.5 KP
- Show Images: 1 KP
- 1st place: 3 KP
So the image total will be calculated with all of the totals like so:
- 1 (full body)
- 0.5 (non-landscape background)
- 2 (simple animation)
- 1 (show) <-- LINK the show!
- 3 (placing) <-- LINK proof of placings!
Total: 7.5 KP
- Notice how this is formatted as a vertical list rather than a horizontal one. When submitting your kaaring breakdown, please use a vertical list – it makes it easier on the kaaring admin to verify totals without missing anything!
- Makes sense, yeah? Sweet! The nicest thing about the new system is that you only have to log your horse's kaaring once, regardless of if art is deleted, you buy a horse with existing art, etc etc -- your horse's total amount of KP is maintained on its plaque, and cannot be lost!
Art on this page is credited directly on the image.
